Slowing boot time with SSD

I installed a Vertex2 60GB a few months ago and the boot time was great. But recently it has slowed to speeds that are comparable to a hard drive. I have search around and done many different things but nothing has worked. Is this a mac problem? Also when booted the SSD operates as fast as it should and Xbench speeds are still fast.

Make sure the drive is set as the Startup Disk in System Preferences. If it's not, it will boot much more slowly.

Yea I checked that and it is selected as the startup disk
