Hi, wondering if anyone has any ideas what might be happening here.

Right now on my Retina Macbook Pro I have about 8 gigs free on my main hard drive.

As I run the machine, over a period of 2-3 days, the available space keeps decreasing until it says I have no space left, everything spazzes out, and I need to restart. Once restarted, it says I have 8 gigs again.

I have looked at Activity Monitor to see if anything is weird, I have not been able to identify a culprit.

At first I thought maybe it was Photoshop but I have an external scratch disk and the problem occurs when I do not run Photoshop.

Any ideas or thoughts?

Thanks

Scott

You need 10-20% free space on your hard drive at all times to allow for the OS to use it as working room.

On any size of HDD 8GB isn't enough, you will need to clear some space or upgrade the drive (if you can).
