I successfully setup windows 7 at virtual machine from www.virtualbox.org/

problem is that all work fine, but very-very slowly !

I already try to make memory to 2048 mb, but that do not help... :(

Which Mac? How much physical RAM do you have? What else are you running under OS X? Which edition of Windows 7? What are you trying to do in W7? Can you quantify slow?

Do keep in mind that Windows Vista and 7 function best when given at least 2GB of RAM, and that doing that without making the entire system slow requires at least 4GB of physical RAM in the host machine - if you can upgrade to 8GB, so much the better.

my configuration:
2.2GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7
8GB 1333MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2x4GB
750GB Serial ATA Drive @ 5400 rpm
SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW)

i know that emulation is a hard job for a computer, so I have only Finder working.

edition of Windows 7 - ultimate 32bit

What are you trying to do in W7? - just moving the mouse, thats all.

I'd still like to quantify "slow". Is there any chance you could post a video of what you are seeing.

You could also give VMWare Fusion or Parallels a try and see if they perform better.

trying to install win7 64bit to another virtual machine and have this error:

this time setup processors - 2 items !

quantify "slow" - it is very slowly moving mouse cursor. so slow I can not install guest-additions

Try giving the VM 3.25GB and at least 2 cores. See if that helps.

windows sill slowly loaded & then crashes to blue screen of death !

I think it may be time to step away from Virtualbox and try one of the commercial solutions. At least to make sure you don't have a hardware problem.

Download the trial of VMWare Fusion (or Parallels) and see what you can make of that. Stick with 32 bit, 1 core and 2 GB of RAM.

Have you installed the guest additions? With those installed, VirtualBox has been at least as fast as either VMWare or Parallels in my experience.
