I am new to using the internet on the iPad (1) so I don't really know what to expect in terms of speed, but a lot websites, even simple text looking ones, take a good 5-10 seconds to load and complex ones even more. When I use the speedtest.net app, my ping is consistently around 350ms but internet speeds aren't much different at 5mbps/0.6mbps which is normal for my DSL connection. In contrast, a wired computer gets the same speeds but is only 56ms ping and a computer using a USB wireless adapter gets 59ms. Is the ping causing the slow page loads, or is it just slow rendering?
