Lately, the spinning beach ball has been popping up every time I scroll down a web page. I have an iMac G4 1 GHz. I have had the computer for about 1.5 years and this sluggishness just started. When I owned a PC, I would use Norton Utilities to correct the registry, etc. Any recommendations? A "genius" at my Apple store told me to run some sort of program that is on the CD that came with the computer. All, I can find is a Cd that restores some of the software that came with the computer.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Bryan

Try repairing permissions and emptying the cache, my was doing the same thing and now it's fine.
The CD restore is the last thing you should try, not the first.
