small crack in glass--

I had the phone protected with the leather sleeve, dropped it and it cracked on the side edge! I thought the protector was supposed to stop this. Will this eventually grow bigger and become a problem? It's not bad now but what should I expect? Is the only thing to do for a replacement is to go to the genius bar and pay $250.00? I have the extended waranty, and I have had it a little over a month.:confused::mad:
 
May or may not be a bigger problem, depends on the actual crack.

Every case I've seen comes with a warning that it is for light protection and not protection from falls, etc.

You can use a third party service like RapidRepair instead of the Genius Bar.
