small images become stretched on phone?

Could someone please lend me a hand with this?

Issue: When previewing small images I've uploaded to the iPhone (125x201) or even a 25x25 icon png for testing purposes (through iPhoto), the Photo Albums preview stretches the image.

Shouldn't it show up as the 25x25 image in the preview window? And not a blown up blurry picture of it?

This causes a problem as when I'm trying to upload a smaller image to a website and it stretches the image instead of leaving it the original size.

Any help would be appreciate.
