Small line on Magic Keyboard

I noticed this on my brand new magic keyboard with Touch ID. There is a small line between the T and Y keys. I can’t imagine this is by design. So did I get a cosmetically flawed one?

Have you tried a cotton swab, moistened with IPA?
Probably will rub right off cleanly.
Or, a tiny bit of touch-up paint will fix that up for you...

Looks like a small mark in the finish. I have the Magic keyboard 2 and don’t see this. I’d just try what DeltaMac said above to see if it comes off.

Paint that matches the faux metal of the apple keyboard ?

I’m going to see if apple will swap it for me. I don’t want to do anything to it with paint or chemicals. It’s brand new after all so they’ll help I’m sure. Thanks everyone.

Interesting! Doesn't look like any kind of accidental blemish - it is very well defined and symmetrically placed.

Will be fun to see if any reasonable explanation comes forward. In the meantime, assuming that the keyboard works well, I would be inclined to keep it and enjoy the uniqueness of it.
