This my roommates iPhone4. When he got his new phone last Thursday he noticed a small white particle stuck to the inside of the back camera.
The picture is a bit blurry but the image I photo-shopped in looks exactly like the particle in the camera. The particle is perfectly round and almost looks like a very small piece of Styrofoam. It is stuck to the inside of the camera and doesn't move even when the phone is shaken.
The particle doesn't affect the pictures taken but my roommate made an appointment Sunday at the Apple Store to see what they could do. They were not interested in replacing the phone and he was told the stores had yet to receive training on how to disassemble the phone in order to remove the particle. The guy at the Genius bar told him to come back in a month or so and they should be able to remove it.
He's not too worried about the particle as it is purely a cosmetic defect, but he is concerned it may break off and roll around in the lens with more use.
Has anybody else had this issue?
