I'm looking for a small HD camera that records in stereo sound. I will be mainly using it for recording in dark lighting conditions in a concert hall so it will need to be good for that. I need it to be small and discrete. Budget is upto £350 ($500).

You probably will not be happy with any of them since video and the dark = poor outcome no matter which pocket HD cam you go with from the highest price to the lowest price.
Everyone makes one these days take your pick, Sony, Kodak, Panasonic, Creative, Flip etc. the list goes on and on! plus all the new digital point and shoot still cameras with HD movie mode.
