Small Problem going crazy...

I have a LaCie DVD writer with Lightscribe. Since loading SL the LS does not write to the disc. I e-mailed LaCie and they suggested that I go to Lightscribe.com downloads. I went there and downloaded LS 1.18.8.1 (10.3 or higher). BUT I can't open it I've clicked on it after it downloads but nothing happens. Did anyone else do this. This is driving me crazy

It's a update right? So why not ry searching for it as a torrent?
