I just bought a 2019 macbook pro 15inch a week ago and ever since i bought it, no matter what kind of task i do on it, i hear a small ticking sound that comes from the right side of the keyboard. I hear just a single tick sound every 30-45 min.

This does not feel like a normal sound. I do not know how to explain it but I would say it feels like a needle hitting a spinning disk. (even though i know theres no hardrive )

Im thinking of exchanging it for a new one but since the ticking sound happens really randomly, its difficult to film it as proof.

Do you think apple would still exchange it if i cant show them?
Or is this thicking sound normal??

The person you bought it from didn’t give you a prepaid airplane ticket at the same time, did they?
:)

No. Ticking is not normal. Return it.

I suspect the problem is the fan. Run a cpu benchmark to force the fan to speed up and see if the ticking sound increases in rate.
