For some reason my Late 2008 MBP no longer let's me use airport, bluetooth or iSight. MCC (Nearest Apple store/reseller) have said the entire display needs replacing at a cost of £500 plus labour. The bluetooth and isight I'm not too bothered about as I never use them, but as you can imagine the wifi is an issue.

I'm planning on getting a usb wifi adapter but I'd like the smallest one possible so preferably I don't even have to take it out of my macbook, but I'm struggling to find one that im 100% is mac compatible.

Something like this : D Link DWA 121 seems perfect but is apparently not Mac compatible.

Any ideas?

Cheers guys!

Bearextender might just what you are looking for. It's a made for mac high power wifi adapter: http://store.bearextender.com/products/bearextender-mini

The TRENDnet 150Mbps Mini Wireless N USB Adapter is about as small as I could find that supports a/b/g/n networks. It is limited to 150Mbps, but it does support Mac OS.

The TRENDnet 300Mbps Mini Wireless N USB Adapter gets speeds up to 300Mbps, but unfortunately it does not state it supports Mac OS.
Many WLAN adapters use Ralink or Realtek chipsets, which are (Mac) OS X compatible:
