So here is my problem.

In iTunes, I can set up a smart playlist which constantly updates 8 hours of random music from my library, using "last played is not in the last 6 months" - this way I know I won't get any repeats too quickly.

I would like to set up a smart album in iPhoto (or in the Finder, for that matter) that contains 200 random images from my iPhoto library, and switches them out after they are viewed.

I have been searching for a way to do this for about a week now, with no success.

Is this possible?

I don't know this answer, but you may have better luck with at a more iPhoto-centric forum. If you haven't already, try asking at the Apple iPhoto Support forums. As much as I like the MR community, if I have a particularly sticky problem I will ask there. You may be looking at a plugin.

Luck.
