Has anyone noticed a minor defect in the finishing around the the hinge of their smart cover? I just noticed it last night for the first time. What can I say I have been too busy playing with the iPad itself to look at the Smart Cover. I am going to attempt to swap it out Saturday morning. I have a genius apt for my MBP.

Looks like a hairline crack to me.

I noticed this on day 1 and freaked out!!

Because its basically hinge paint rubbing off the cover and onto the body of the iPad.. looks JUST LIKE A SCRATCH on the iPad but it comes off easily.. I have seen 5 different smart covers (3 buddies, 1 i bought on 3.11, and the relpacement) .. they all do the same thing.. i wouldnt bother getting an exchange unless you want a different color than what you originally got.. your new cover will be doing this too within the first day...

before anyone jumps down my throat...

this is just adviced based on MY EXPERIENCE with 5 smart covers... im not saying ALL covers are doing this... just the ones i have come in contact with...

here is a thread i made about it earlier..

I am very anal about stuff like this. this is my first iPad and I want to make sure it stays perfect. I think I may switch to an entirely different cover now.
I just really like the magnet effects and how slim it is.

I hate having a big bulky cover on something so slim and sleek.
