Smart Cover setting gone in the iPad 3

Just got an iPad 3, but don't see a smart cover setting? I know it was there before, but now I don't see it anywhere, and the cover I have won't work, a Snugg cover.

If i remember correctly you had to wake up the iPad with the smart cover feature to activate the setting.

Same issue. The setting is gone on the new iPad. I have a case that I have been using with my iPad 2 with no issues. Do you think I have to use an Apple Smart Cover to enable that feature??

3rd Party iPad 2/New iPad cases

Apparently the magnets were placed in different parts on he new iPad. The Apple Smart Cover Case will work because it has enough magnets to cover old and new positions. 3rd Party covers for iPad 2 that are claiming to be compatible may not be, at least for this feature. I have tested 3 existing cases for iPad 2 that I own, they all fit ok, but the Smart Cover feature, does not work....
