I have created a "Recent folders" Smart Folder in Finder. It works great for folders opened in Finder, but not for folders opened within Apps like Word 2011, even though the Word file manager looks like Finder and the Smart Folder appears in it.
Ideally, if I am in Word, and I open a folder from File>Open, I want that folder to appear in my "Recent folders" Smart Folder, either immediately, or when I next open Finder. However, this is not the case. The Smart Folder only "sees" folders opened directly in Finder.
Is there a way to overcome this?
