Hi,

I am just wondering, are use made smart folders always slow in comparison to the ones already made in Leopard (in the Finder under Saved Searches). It is the case for me, as a smart folder I made to find Red labelled items, took 1m29s to find 8 items. Whilst the ones in Leopard by default can find 653 .JPGs within 1 second?
Is it like this for everyone, or am I doing something wrong?
Thank you.

I checked on my Powerbook G4 10.5.3 and the smart folders for "today", "yesterday" and "past week" did come up instantly.

I labeled some pictures red and made a smart folder looking for files labeled red. It took about 10 seconds to find them and also other files I had labeled red a long time ago that I forgot about.

So my "labeled red" smart folder is slower than the ones already made in OS X, but not as slow as yours.
