I have a 2017 iPad Pro (10.5") with the Smart Keyboard folio. So far only minor problems (with the "arrow down" key from time to time requiring a second press before it actually works).

But from today, it does not seem to do anything. Whenever I have to enter any text, the on screen keyboard shows up. Very frustrating.

I checked the smart connector, and it seems clear in both sides (iPad and keyboard).
I rebooted the iPad several times and then reset all the settings, with no effect.

I am aware that this keyboard has been reported to have many potential issues, but would like to troubleshoot the issue some. Any suggestion on how to do that ?

Mine also died recently. Actually just got back from the Apple Store and no help. She went straight to wanting to order a new one I was like eh wait no! For that money I can buy already the logitech one with trackpad.

After an upgrade of iOS from the previous minor version, it works again.
So, I cannot say whether it is an intermittent hardware issue that just went away with the upgrade, or some software issue in the iPad itself... At least it works, but my confidence in the set up went down a lot.
