Will new Smart Keyboard work with IPAD 2 AIR OR only IPAD PRO??

Pro only.

Needs the smart connector the Pro has on it's side to power it and relay the keyboard use.

Yep, Pro only. Fortunately, there are lots of nice keyboards that will work with the other iPads.
