I would say not, simply because unlike the ipad, you're going to be dropping your iphone in and out of your pocket repeatedly throughout the day - I consider it highly unlikely that they'd be using magnets strong enough to hold it on there, even while going through that.

Not a good idea.. A Bumper case for the iPad is a good idea.

It would be pointless. Do you realize how small the smartcover would have to be? It wouldn't even be worth production. And with the iPhone, you always want to protect the back, never the front. To pull that thing off the screen every two minutes would be super annoying.

Despite the antennagate thing, they've still sold a butt-ton of them...and a majority of us who have them are perfectly content with them as they are.

I was just thinking of this last night. Then I remembered that you constantly have to put it in and take it out of a pocket.

That plus if you had to add magnets into the new iPhone, there's no way they could make it thinner.

Yet another example of Apple closing down products routes for smaller business.

All though in fairness there isn't that much effort involved in making a fabric or leather case if anyone wanted to make there own.

this is the phone that will replace my iphone 4. hopefully apple makes it.
