I'm considering upgrading from an iPad 1 to a used iPad 2 after the 3's flood the market. I most often use my iPad 1 while on the couch. I love the ability to type at full speed on the keyboard and find it works best when I use a case to keep it at a roughly 45 degree angle in front of me. The case I'm using with my 1 folds up like this ----> /\ with the iPad entirely supported entirely by one side of the case.

If I upgrade to the iPad 2, I really like the simplicity of the smart cover. When using it on a table I have no doubt I would position the smartcover to raise the top slightly as it shows in the ads, but will the smart cover be able to support its weight if I position the folded smart cover at the bottom of the iPad and keep it at a roughly 45 degree angle?

Thanks everyone - sorry for the geometry lesson!

with the smart cover on it will stand up almost straight, about 70 degrees. only really on a hard surface though
