SMB + AirPlay video streaming

Hello,

I have a local SMB hard drive that holds my movies.
I want to stream these movies to my Apple TV using AirPlay.

Is there an app that can connect to SMB hard drive and stream the movies using AirPlay ?

Does your drive also support UPnP? Then, you have several titles to choose from for true, non-mirrored, direct playback: https://forums.macrumors.com/threads/1503351/

My drive is shared using SMB only...

Are you sure UPnP can't be enabled for sharing? Is it a self-standing (no-desktop) NAS HDD?

d-link 6740u which supports SMB but not UPnP.
