Ok, so there are seemingly endless issues with SMB in BigSur. The issue I'm seeing doesn't seem to be the same as what some other are seeing I'm able to connect to windows shares "Server 2019" with no problem. The Problem si there is some kind of Content updating visibility issue going on. For instance, if I create a new folder one. remote share. It immediately disappears before I can even give it a name. I can remote into the windows machine and then go to the folder and there will be an "untitled folder" there. I cannot see it on the mac. at least not without disconnecting from the share and reconnecting. Then I can see it I can click to rename it and as soon as I hit return the name will change back to "untitled folder" I can disconnect and then reconnect and see that the folder rename did take place so it is strictly an issue with the view not being updated or something like that. The same thing applies to files. I can copy files to a remote share then they will disappear. I have to reconnect to the share then I can see the contents.

As you can imagine this is super frustrating. I have verified this behaviour on 3 different macs. I have some files on a QNAP NAS as well but that seems to work just fine.
