SMC Fan control wrong Defaults

Any ideas?

I just installed it on my 15" 2010 i7 MBP, and it is defaulting to 3000rpm, with no option to lower it to the stock 2000rpm. Ive never had this issue before.

I tried using appzap to completely wipe out SMCfan, and rebooted. Copied it back onto the desktop, and still 3000.

thanks, seems to have worked. I dont know why I didnt try that.
