SMC reset - How do you know it happened?

Is there some indication after performing an SMC reset that it was successfully done? I did the HVRAM reset and, of course, got the second chime. No evidence of a successful SMC reset though. Thanks.

If the battery was not completely charged when doing the reset, the LED on the MagSafe connector switches briefly to green and then back to amber if the reset was successful.
