SMC reset on late 2011 MBP

Hi, I have a late 2011 17" MBP and I was trying to do a SMC reset (to solve some audio related problems I'm having).

I followed the instruction on the Apple documentation. But when I pressed the key combination, the MagSafe light didn't change.

I've done SMC reset before and I remember the color of the light changed previously.

Any ideas?

I have the 15-inch version of your MBP, and my Magsafe light doesn't change after an SMC reset. Does it really matter, though, if the procedure fixed your issue?

Well, the problem still exists. And I'm not sure whether my SMC has been reset during my attempt to reset it.
