SMC reset wont work on rMBP

Hello everyone

the issue here is that i cant perform the smc reset
done it enough to know exactly what it is and how to do it
but it just wont work anymore
also pretty sure i did it before on my machine
on a turned off machine and magsafe plugged in>Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time. release and nothing happens.magsafe doesn't blinks(might it be that it resets but magsafe wont blink?)

what i dont get is why i cant do in anymore? did apple changed anything with new firmware update?
does anyone experience the same issue?

The Magsafe will only blink if the machine is currently charging. When fully charged the Magsafe will not blink during an SMC reset. The best way to find out if its working is to use the computer on battery and let it drain to at least 90%. Then shut it down and try doing an SMC reset.

your right
it blinks only when the battery is not fully charged which makes sense since it have to blink green and when its fully charged its green all the time
