I have seen similar threads on here but none with my specific problem. I have a 2009 macbook pro (pre unibody) and in order to charge my computer, I must do an SMC reset EVERY TIME I need to charge my computer.
What is different with my situation is that once I unplug the charger after doing the SMC reset and charging my laptop, it will not reconnect and recognize the charger unless an SMC reset is done AGAIN. I have purchased a new charger and my battery count is only 86.... HELP HELP! Mac told me if i have to do an SMC reset more than once it will be $500 and upwards to fix my laptop
