I download smcfancontrol a few days ago because my macbook always gets super hot.
I dont know how to set smcfancontrol the right way to work because my macbook still gets really hot.
Please help me and tell me what settings I should use and stuff.
Thanks
Anna

SMCFanControl lets your set the fan speed. You just have to set the fan speeds higher.

I have mine set to the max: 3500 RPM. It keeps it fairly cool.

I have the lower threshold at 115 F and the upper at 160 F

Beware though, your battery life will suffer. But my machine gets WAY too hot otherwise.

I have three settings for me, Default (1800), High RM (3500) and cool down (5000). I've seen my MB hit about 6000RPM when I'm using Aperture.
