When I turn my fan speed up on smcfancontrol is it normal that only the left fan speeds up? Or is there something wrong with my system?

try deleting the old plist or whatever. I had this issue when transferring over from a 13" which obviously only had one fan. I had to delete some stuff and reinstall SMC fan and it recognized my MBP to have two fans and under settings could control both.

So yeah actually check your settings and make sure both fans are set for your settings.

I switched from a 13" too and it worked. The problem I'm having now is when I switch to higher speed it speeds up for like 1 second and goes back down to around 2000rpm

It may help to check the "sync sliders" box in the preferences. I'm having no problems with smcfancontrol on my 15" pro.

I got it to work for both fans, but now when i turn it to higher speed it doesnt stay on it. It would go up and the fans will kick in for like a second and go back.
