For the smcFanControl app, after every time my macbook pro goes to sleep and i come back to it it prompts me to put in my user password before I can get back to doing anything else. Is there any way to turn this off?

It's getting rather annoying and I cannot find it in preferences or anywhere.

Thanks in advance

Are you sure it's smcfancontrol asking for your password and not just the Mac OS X login window?

smcFanControl should only ask for your password during the initial install.

Maybe it didn't get installed correctly? Trash it and install it again?
