I have had smcFanControl on my MacBookPro for a while now with the default profile set to 2,500
Today when I tried to add a new profile the minimum on the slider was 4000. According to the doc it sets is minimum based on some Apple firmware setting but it should be like 1500.
All my other profiles had minimums of 2000. I'm afraid to change any profiles now because I fear that it will reset the minimum fan to be 4000 which is more noise than I could bear.
Anyone know why this minimum setting may now be so high?
