Smear on Screen Wont Go Away

Hi Guys,
I just noticed this weird smear on my MPB's screen. You can only really see it when the screen is black but lit up. I've tried everything to get it off. It defiantly wasn't there before. Is there anything i can do? Thanks

Sorry about the glare in the picture. The smear is the thing in the middle that looks like a curvy '†'. Thanks again!

Contact Apple if it is still under warranty.

You can have the Mac checked by a repair shop.

Well, if it's a plastic screen then I would guess it is likely a 'chemical induced' image likely done when someone cleaned it with something improper.. or it could be on the inside of the screen, whether glass or plastic.. Methinks..
