I switched to mac recently and used to have smiley central on my browser bar to add smileys to email as sky mail doesnt have any, but it wouldnt download onto mac.

Does anyone know if there is an equivalent for Mac?

Also where can I buy Typinator or Textexpander in UK? I seen downloads but they all seem to want you to pay in dollars after trial ends.

Dear Kati,

you can purchase Typinator directly from our (ergonis) web site at

We are located in Austria and our prices are in EUR.
Get more info on Typinator from

Just to mention, if you want to enter Smileys you may also want to have a look at our product PopChar (http://www.ergonis.com/products/popcharx), that might be even more suitable for your needs.

Please do not hesitate to contact us directly at typinator (at) ergonis.com if you have any further questions or need further assistance.

popchar

I cant see any smileys in your popchar program, how easy would it be to get them on and then add them to email?

Katilea,
PopChar does not come with any smileys - you would need a font that contains the smileys, and PopChar then lets you insert them easily.
If you want to insert your own smileys as pictures, then I may have misunderstood you - in this case, Typinator would in fact be the right tool for you.

As I said, you can get more info on Typinator from here:

and coming back to your initial concern:

Hope that helps. If you have further questions, I recommend contacting our customer service at typinator (at) ergonis.com. We'll be happy to help you.

Kind regards

Christoph

Ok i managed to get Thunderbird mail to work (which comes with smileys) , two friends said they couldnt see smileys, one friend said they did get them in thier email.

One of the people i sent email to i got message pop up, did i want to send it plain text and HTML, plain text only or HTML only, it didnt happen with all 3 people.

I though i read on a forum somewhere about some settings that had to be changed but i cant remember where and cant find it again. One mentioned something about 'windows friendly' as the person reading it from pc rather than mac couldnt see the smileys?

My question is.. is this a setting i have to find and change? or do my friends have to change a setting in thier mail system to see my smileys?
