I'm having trouble finding out if the best Twitter experience occurs over SMS? I want to be able to quickly send out a tweet, and also get tweets pushed to me as they are sent from the feeds I follow.

But I can't figure out if this requires SMS or not. If so, I would assume the unlimited SMS plan is the way to go?

Thanks!

You don't need SMS.
Just get a Twitter client for your iPhone.
If not today, their will be several that will be able to push updates of tweets to your phone without using SMS within the next few days.

im not aware of any twitter apps that support push notifications yet, but when they become available you would be able to use that so unlimited sms may not be needed.
