SMS app ported from iPhone to iPod for wifi txting from GV

is it possible to have a sms app from the iPhone, on a jailbroken touch, that works with GV? cuz im considering getting an android, and porting my# to GV, so it would be awesome if i could you GV through the default messages app ported to the iPod (jailbroken)

p.s. i dont just want to change the gv icon to the messages one and change the name to Messages.
i want an app 100% similar to the one on the iPhonne, just sending messages via GV.

Have you tried the SMS GV extension? You'll need to be jailbroken, obviously, but it will allow you to integrate SMS via GV in to the native SMS app as you want. Never tried it on an iPod Touch but I don't see why it wouldn't work?
