Sms app still lag a bit or no?

i click the sms app and it take a few seconds to load my list of messages. i only have one in there and its not long at all, then i click the keyboard area it takes like a few seconds to pop up. not that it takes so long, but i know that there have been times where it was instantaneous.

why is this?
