SMS backup: from ios5 to OG iphone ios3

how can I do it?

need to transfer my messages from iphone4 running ios5, to original iphone running ios3.

will hold me off until iphone5
 
You can't. The SMS database changed dramatically with iOS 4 and is no longer compatible with older iOS versions.
