SMS from address book

Hi guys, a newbie here, but I've seen this asked a few times without an answer.

I have a T610 which is paired with my 10.2 PowerBook. I am able to sync, browse and use GPRS. However, I can't use the SMS send/receive feature in address book. I've clicked the BlueTooth button in address book, and it stays blue. Does anyone have any ideas?
