Yes there is. There is an app that is called QuickReply and it is free in cydia.

BiteSMS. You can compose and reply from any where on the phone. It's free with ads or you can purchase a full liscense to remove the ads. IMHO a must have app if you text a lot.

i love bitesms tho, all the ads are in the app n i never launch it anywhay. all i use is quickreply.
