I group text with two friends. One is iPhone the other not. I had problems getting messages to the non-iPhone guy after he switched to android from an iPhone. But after clearing him from all history and contacts, resetting network settings, and some other stuff, the messages started getting through.
I just tried to text him on my iPad, coincidently to share the story about Apple coming out with the tool to strip ex-iPhone users numbers from iMessage which was just posted on macrumors. When I did, I tried just replying to the group text conversation on my iPad. It has been getting all my messages even from the non iPhone guy. I just haven't sent outgoing messages from the iPad.
But my outgoing never reached him. So I resent on iPhone and it worked fine. Is the new handoff feature copying my messages from the phone to my iPad but just not able to send from iPad out to non idevices?
