sms in yosemite not working

I've had yosemite from DP1, and sms texting messaging still isn't working. iPhone 6 running iOS 8.0 and os x yosemite running the latest developer preview (build 14A388a). Anyone know whats happening?

I create a new conversation on messages and add the phone number of someone who isn't on imessage, but messages keeps trying to send them an imessage for some reason.

Just like others have said in all the other threads created on this subject. You have to be running iOS 8.1 which will be coming out on Monday. Also, you may want to go ahead and download Yosemite from the App Store that was released today and be on the latest version.
