I get the same "Happy XXXXXX" every holiday from several people who just spam this to everyone in their phone. It's annoying, pointless and now we can do it with our iPhones, hooray.

Once I year I can handle things like that, when I want to send a message to group of people when trying to organise an night out it will come in handy believe me.

Just knowing it's there is pretty good. I hardly use it, but I highly doubt it will increase spam seeing as nearly every phone on the market today has the capability to do this already

Multiple SMS is a good start, now where the heck is MMS that the phone should have had from day 1? I'm a little disappointed with this iPhone update.

I think it's a good idea for the fact that the option is there if i ever need it.. but personally i think I would never really use it.

@PatrickC - I think I would have to agree with you there on the MMS side.

I'm a noob, but am I correct this feature is in the next update (1.1.3) right? Its not something separate Apple through down into iTunes separately or something right?
