SMS on iPhone 3G w/ iOS 4 slow?

Anybody else have this problem with SMS on their 3G? It seems to lag quite a bit when typing a message and even more when sending one. I can't even send a MMS anymore.

No issues here... but I have 0 songs on my iPhone and only a bare minimum of Apps (i only keep what I really like on it)

I would say iOS4 performs equal to 3.1.3 in terms of speed, with one exception. iOS4 is faster at loading/closing apps.

mine seems very slow, especially when the other person is replying at the same time...
