I have gotten multiple reports including from my self at exactly 10pm EST SMS replay stopped working. Has anybody else had this issue?

Mine actually stopped working around 9PM PST. I noticed thats when my SMS stopped sending to my iPad.

i can send them from my iPad still using iOS 8 GM; however my Mac's SMS relay has been disabled it seems like. Im trying to figure out what happened.

from your OS X or your iPad? cuz my iPad is fine its still getting/sending SMS its just my OS X that is not able to send them; its still receiving them.

My iPad quit. I haven't tried SMS relay at all on Yosemite yet, I never boot into it.

My iPad hasn't been able to send messages. I was seeing them. I haven't tried today.

Also I wasn't able to make calls. Thought it might be related to my work Wifi tho.

I had some bad cutting out on my iPad on a call today, but I attribute it to my work Wifi as well lol.

after playing around trying to get it to work on my OS X my iPad now no longer is relaying SMS lol. Haddddd to play around with it; it was literally working perfectly fine, oh well---def something apple did. It will get fixed just as quickly as it broke I would hope. Or if not at least by public release.

After I upgraded to iOS 8, the option was completely missing on my iPad. I reset all settings and phone calls work fine but haven't tried sms yet.

My iPad and OS X both quit last night around 9EST. However if someone calls me it still comes across on all my devices. Just not text messages. If I try to text someone who doesn't have iMessage it shows red.

Is anyone else slightly concerned that Apple seems to have the ability to disable features on our devices on their end? Especially features like continuity that operate locally.

so basically no SMS messages on iPad till october? is this the only feature that has been pushed back for iOS 8?

More than a little put off by this being pushed back to October. Coming in the same update that will enable :apple:Pay?

Between this and iCloud Photo library suddenly being marked as beta for the final release, it's a bit of a let down.

Perhaps Apple wants everything to be consistent and Yosemite is not ready to be released could create a problem somehow

I could see this being more of a problem with iCloud drive.. e.g. People loosing document access before Yosemite comes out.
