I don't know if this is Sprint only or all carrier users have experienced this, but SMS texting no longer "hangs" on my 6 the way it used to on the 5s. SMS texting is instant, I'm curious if this has to do with improvements to Sprint's network or the iphone 6 improvements. What i'm referring to is sending a green sms text to others and as its sending, the message would hang as "sending..." for 1-2 seconds before going through. Now messages go through as quickly if not quicker than imessage at times. Would anyone know why this is?

I think apple change way to send SMS on iOS 8, before you text 2 phone have handshake communication (using Push), if receiver not reply, phone send direct SMS.

iOS 8 and general SMS optimisations. They send quicker on my iPhone 5 too.
