SMS Texts Delayed

Hey guys,
So for some odd reason I get some texts occasionally when in full service in odd delays. Sometimes it's like a minute or two off, sometimes up to half an hour. I'm using BiteSMS, any ideas?

Ya I just don't get the texts at all.

Usually its just the network. Not much you can do about it, but to wait to be in an area with better reception, sorry to say.

So I figured out that if I know someone texted me and I haven't gotten it, if I text them then the text comes in. Any ideas?

Take off Bite for a couple of days and see if the same thing happens with the regular Messages app. If it doesn't, it may be worth contacting the Bite devs, they're very responsive typically. But I'm almost certain it's your carrier, and if that's the case, there's nothing at all you can do.

Look the the options in BiteSMS, there's an option to delay.

Its not Bite, most likelly a carrier issue.
Sometimes I get texts delayed when I send or receive from Tmobile or verizon users. Im on AT&T.

But the thing is it's never happened before it just started about a month ago.

Have you made any changes to your carrier plan or used any upgrades? This was happening to a coworker of mine because we used his phone number for an upgrade on a different line and the carrier had the incorrect sim number for his device. You should probably call the carrier to see if they can resolve the issue for you.

YES! I had my phone replaced by Apple about a month ago when this probably started. Wow I feel like an idiot. So I should call at&t and say what?

Give them a call and tell them what is happening. Maybe they need the new imei number of the replacement phone.

I called AT&T and they had a different IMEI registered. Let's see if this works out. Thanks a lot guys!

My iPhone (Verizon) does this occasionally and to receive texts I call voicemail speed dial 1 on my phone. I do get poor reception in my room though so I believe that is why.

Another way to make texts come in easily is to simply text yourself. I have myself as a contact in my phone and if someone randomly stops responding in a conversation I text myself to make sure it's not just the message not going through.
