As far as a timestamp the iPhone does do it but it won't time stamp each message individually it will time stamp groups of messages until the time changes. Which I feel is pretty efficient.
 
I was wondering the same thing...

just a few hours ago. As "metman787" stated earlier, the iPhone can only time stamp a group of SMS msgs. I found myself emailing if I wanted something with a day/time stamp on it. :cool:
 
Well crap. Maybe they will add it in a firmware update. Even if it is an option that you can turn off. Thanks for the answers guys.
