Hello,

So, yesterday I dropped my first generation iphone and the screen smashed to smithereens, but remarkably, it still works fine - I just run the risk of cutting my fingers every time I use it.

Anyway, it is insured and o2 are going to send me a brand new 3G on Monday morning. Good times.

My question is: is there anyway of copying my SMSs onto the sim card so that when I put my existing sim card into the new iphone i can retain all of my SMSs. Failing this, is there a 3rd party app that will copy my sim cards so that i can restore them?

Thanks in advance,

Ash

I may be mistaken but I think you can set up your new 3G with the backup of your broken phone. That way you'd retain all of your SMS and email messages....

Like I said, I could be wrong.

Back your phone up (Sync) in iTunes. When you plug your new phone in you will be given the option to restore from Back-up. Doing that will restore the phone to your last backed up phone with all the messages and emails in tact.
